Okay the girls were out of school 3 weeks ago, I just have not posted anything about it. I took these pictures on the last day when we had our celebration water party in the backyard. The girls had a great year! Bailey is now a 2nd grader and Maddie a 4th grader. We are exited about our upcoming adventures at our new school Hawthorn Academy. We will miss all our old friends, but we will make new friends and keep the old for one is silver the other gold!

We Love to see the Temple!

We are so very exited to have this new Temple! It is so close to us, about 2 miles away. We went to the open house and it's very beautiful! Jason and I also got the wonderful opportunity to serve in the open house. Jason got to clean the Temple and I got to be an usher ( in the Brides room, so

pretty!) It was a great experience!

I just had a funny conversation with Cameron I thought I'd share!

Me (as I was carying Cameron up to bed): Will you stay little forever?

Cam- no, I want to be big like you.

Me- but don't you want to be my little boy forever?

Cam- No,I want to Drive a car

Me- oh, okay

Cam- Mom, I have to drive a car, so I have to be big!

For the past 2 months I have had to hide my keys or keep them in my pocket and keep the car locked, why? Because Cameron apparently wants badly to drive a car and he will get in and pretend to drive and lately he asks for the keys so he can go start the car. That boy, he's crazy!

Birthdaysssssss!

Seems like April and May are so chuck full of birthdays we are celebrating every week. This is not a bad thing, I like to celebrate, I just can't get to posting pictures on the blog (cuz we are too busy celebrating!) My baby had his second Birthday, this is bittersweet for me he's getting so big and independent, he does not want to snuggle like he used to. He's such a sweet good boy, he likes to just do what ever brother is doing. The big difference is Connor can sit in one place and concentrate on something for a while, and those of you who know Cameron he is rarely in one spot for more than a few seconds. Happy Birthday to my sweet baby boy!

Cameron also had a birthday! He turned four.

He will go to swimming lessons this summer and

then to pre-school. The same lady that teaches

our swimming lessons has an in home pre-school as

well. I know he will have a lot of fun as long as he can learn

to sit still! He's still completely obsessed with mowing the

lawn and is in 7th heaven now that he and Daddy can mow

again. I think he is going to have his own lawn care business

when he grows up. For now I want him to stay my little funny boy!

These pictures are not the greatest, but I just had to put them up. Maddie likes to play with modeling clay and make little animals and beds for them. They are so cute. Here she made a penguin and her home. a bed and toys and even rugs for the floor. The little penguin even has interchangeable red or yellow bow!

Tee ball

Cameron played Tee ball this spring. I can't say that he loved it but it was good for him to learn the game. Baseball takes a lot of patience! While waiting for your turn to bat and waiting out field for a ball to come your way. Patience is not a real strong point right now for Cam. I'm sure in a few years he will have a lot more fun. That being said, we had a blast watching the funny little boys. They were all so cute!

I have never had a toddler so daring as Connor! This park near our house has a very high, very steep slide. Connor goes to the bridge and climbs the steep steps to the high slide and goes right down like it's nothing at all. He is Mr independent right now and wants to do everything himself, he's so funny!

Maddie finally got her doll! She worked really hard doing chores at home and at Grandma's house. When her doll came she could hardly contain herself! Now she and Chrissa (doll) are best buddies. She is one happy Girl!

It's been so so cold! Bailey and Cameron wanted to go out and play in the rain/snow. They got very muddy and cold!

Now we have about 3 inches of snow (or more) Soccer has been canceld for the next week and I would like to know, what happed to spring?

Hiking in Beautiful Zions

We went to Zions and did a little hiking. It was really beautiful and the
weather was perfect. The kids had a lot of fun! A nice change of
pace from the long dreary winter! They loved all the little
caves along the way.

This was on the up hill part of the hike, Maddie was a little tired, but she enjoyed it when it was
a little more flat or down hill.

Connor got a lot of exercise! :)

I am busy as ever being a Mom. it's not always easy but I love it.

The kids keep me going. I am in Young Women as the Personal

Progress leader, I love getting to know the girls and teaching lessons

When I am asked. I am really exited about the new school my girls will

be going to next year. We get to go back to traditional (instead of year-round)

I feel like they back track so much on year -round, even though I give them

homework everyday while they are off track, they still have to spend 3 weeks

reviewing when they go back because not every one makes the kids work

while off track. They also get to wear uniforms, they are not so exited, but..

I AM! They also get to learn Spanish, starting in first grade, they are exited about that!

I have had a very sick Family this week, Connor Started it with a cold/cough. Then

Bailey got Strep and then Maddie and Cameron got it. But the bad thing was that

They all had Connor's cold and strep on top of it. Connor did not get Strep. Jason came

home from work on Wednesday sick, I thought for sure it was strep, but when he went to

the doctor, it turned out to be Influenza. Thankfully the kids and I got our flu mist in the fall.

But Jason sure is sick, he has been in bed asleep most of the day, he can barely talk with out

having a cough attack, poor guy!

But Jason's new job is still going well. The travel has sure taken some getting used to, I feel like I am getting a little better at handling things while he is away, it's mostly at night that I miss him and his extra hands to help bath and bed kids.

That's all for now, I need some serious sleep!

Family Update

Connor is definetly the baby of the family. He
gets cranky when things are not the way he wants
them, and he has two big sisters that will pretty much
give him what he wants. He is such a mamma's boy
and he will cry until I come and get him. Needless to
say nursery has not gone all that well. He is talking
more and more. I love it when he says "Yep" and
"Ya You" ( love you) He sings the Abc's and a few other
songs that I sing to him and bedtime. Now if we could
only get him off the bottle, it's my fault that he still has it
but now, insists on ba-ba and bakie at bed time. ( bottle
and blankie) oh well!

Cameron is still a busy boy! He will be 4 in May. He does crazy stuff all the time. He loves to disassemble, dirtify and destroy everything. but I still love him to pieces! He is really smart and learned all the ABC'c and sounds and can now sound out his name, good job Cam- Cam!

Bailey in now 7 and becoming toothless! She lost her

fist tooth on New Year's Day. She is loving first grade

and does really well. She also love Piano and Tumbling.

She is now learning back hand springs, she's quite the gym-

nast, it's so fun to watch! Bailey loves life and Learning, she's

an awesome girl!

Maddie is now a spunky 9 year old. She's getting so
tall, she just won't stop growing. She is doing well on
her school work and Piano lessons. She scored in the
top ten percent nationally on the Iowa test in School,
Go Maddie! She now wears retainers on top and bottom
full time, they make her look like a big kid. She still loves
horses and books about animals, and now has a total obsession
with American Girl Dolls. I won't buy her one so she is saving
her money for one. She is Awesome and such a good helper
I love that I can ask her to play with or read to one of the boys
and she is ready and willing. ( for the most part)

I take a supplement called Emergen-C. I have heard that it's pretty much the same as Airborne. I like Emergen-C because it costs less that Airborne, and I think it is tastier, and you don't have to wait for it to melt (or whatever.) I have heard so many conflicting sides to these products. Some say that they don't work at all and have a very strong opinion about it. I have been using Emergen-c for about two years, off and on and mostly in the Fall and Winter. I have not had a really bad cold in these two years, I have had 1 mild cold and this Fall I lost my voice but had no other symptoms. I have two kids in school ( the germ factory) and they have brought home some nasty stuff, I did not get any of it. I really feel like the Emergen-C has boosted my immune system, I used to get sick all the time. is it all in my head that it really works? One more thing I always get a flu shot and so does my family (exept my dear hubby who usually won't) We have never had influenza, Just like the Emergen-C/ Airborne I have heard that people really don't think they work, they work for me, what's the deal, am I just lucky? TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!

When I went to take a shower today, I told Maddie to watch over the boys and make sure they stayed in the play room. I was not very long, 15-20 minutes is all. When I came back, there was Connor, hanging in a laundry basket tied to the bowflex with nylons. I was taken back, first by the danger of Connor possibly falling out and second by the great ingenuity of my children. I told Maddie that it was too dangerous and to not do that again, but not before I captured the moment! :) I have been asking Jason to put the Bowflex away or get rid of it because we don't use it, now I think we have the perfect excuse!

Christmas and Family update

Christmas Morning at our house was so nice this year!
We took our time and had a great time. It was snowing like
crazy outside, so we just stayed home for the morning. Then we
went to the Attebury's for dinner. It was a great day!

Connor's new favorite pass time. He gathers all his favorite books
and his 'bikie'(blanket) and he is good for like 10 min. WOW!

Well, I'm back! I jsut thought I'd give a quick update, I'll post pics later.
Jason had surgery, all went well, his shoulder is doing great. He did get a minor
infection and a itchy rash 2 weeks after, but all is well now.

Madison Joy turned 9 years old. She had a fun party at the Movies with her
friends and a family party at home.

I stepped on a piece of plastic ( I think) and it broke off in my foot, I hobbled
around for a week before I couldn't stand it any more. I went to the Doctor and they
numbed my foot (yeooowch!) and opened up the cut and dug around in it, she
found a small something in it and that was it. Cameron prayed for my foot and
low and behold, today it felt much better!

I just want to say how thankful I am for my life. Life is truly beautiful. Sometimes I find myself gripping about the little things that go wrong, or just the every day things of life with four kids, but I have so much, and the good out weighs the bad by so much.
I figure, you can take the hard things and be mad and frustrated, or you can take the good and run with it. I admire people who do that, who take life as it comes and deal with it in a positive way, I really hope to be there some day. But in the meantime, while I am working on that, my life is good, great, wonderful!

Excalibur Hotel where we sayed.
Me and my Aunt Leeann who lives down in Vegas, she treated me to lunch and we walked around and chatted at her house. Below is a picture of the flowers on the celling at the Bellagio.

Last week I got to go with Jason to Las Vegas.

He had to go for work and I begged him to take me with him. I had never been to Vegas before and it was very..hmmm, shocking to say the least. Quite a bit different than our quiet little life. Jason kept asking me if I was okay as we were walking down the strip. :) It was fun and nice to have a break. I think I spent more time in bed reading than I have in 8 years. (Thanks to my Mom- in- law for taking all the kids for the 4 days, it was no small task, I know!)

My kids say some pretty funny things, I don't always write them down or remember them. Today, two of my darling kids said some pretty funny things, I thought I would share them!
Cameron has been having trouble taking naps the last few months, but I try to have a quiet time every day. So I put him in his room today and said he could read his books, but he needed to stay in his room. For all of you who know Cameron, this is a difficult task for him. I have to keep putting him back in his room. At one point I went down to do some laundry, when I came back up, he was laying in the hall with his face in his hands, I went to pick him up and take him back to his room but he looked up at me and said "Wait mom, I'm praying"! I just said, "okay, pray in your room."

We have been having a few problems with complaining in our house for a little while, I have been talking to the girls about it and having FHE lessons about it ( any advice is welcome) any way, today after school I was letting Bailey play with some play-dough. I told her it was time to clean it up and I was preparing my self for a whole bunch of complaining. Instead, she said "Okay" I was so happy that I told her how happy it makes me when she doesn't complain. She went on to say, "I know, because when I complain, it makes you have to go and PRAY in your room." I said, as I was laughing, "it sure does."

We went to the Copper mines last weekend. Connor loves the backpack, but his legs are getting too long for it.
The kids thought the huge tire was the greatest thing ever!

*8 restaurants I love: Olive Garden, Naborhood Bakery, Subway, Panda Express, Mimi's, Famous Daves, Leatherby's, Apolo Burger.
*8 things I am doing today: Getting 2 girls off to school by 8:15, Cleaning up the house, folding the laundry, supervising Cameron's playdate, making fruit salad for after school snack, taking the girls to piano lessons, eating dinner with my mom, getting 4 kids off to bed by 8:15.
*8 things I am looking forward to: Fall! Kim's Wedding, getting the kids and myself Fall/winter clothes, a possible trip with my husband, school parties with the girls classes, Making bread and soup, Fall, and did I mention Fall? I love Fall.
*8 things I love about summer: Having the kids home, cold treats, the fourth of July/Taylorsville Dayzz, bbq's, Watching the kids play outside and get good and dirty, vacations, and bare feet.
*8 Olympic events I want to see: gymnastics, Swimming, cycling, Diving, volleyball, all track events. ( that counts for 8 I'd say.)
*8 Things on my wish list: New clothes for fall, to get to take a trip with my husband, without the kids, to redo my bathrooms, to paint my up-stairs and my bedroom, for my husband not to have to travel soooo much, to go to San Deigo, to loose 10 lbs, for Maddie's ecxema to get better.

School Days

Sorry these are in the wrong order, but this is Cam's
first day of Pre-school, his class getting ready to go. He was
so exited that he got to be the first in line.

Maddie started Third grade, so far so good, she likes it a lot! Her teacher
had a death in the family on the second day of school so she was gone for a week. She says her class is a little bit bad, but not Maddie (course not!) :)

Cam again with his back-pack that is so big it almost touches his shoes.
He loves that he can be a big kid like his sisters.

Bailey started First grade. She loves it.
She likes eating lunch at school, but has been a
little on the grumpy side when she gets home. She gets really
tired, it's getting a little less though as the days go by she's
adjusting well.

Well, Bailey and Madison decided to play Ballet class with Cameron the other day. That's what happens when you have sisters. If you ask Cameron what sport he want's to play he will usually say dancing. I know this makes Jason a little upset, but what can you do? We will be enrolling Cameron in soccer as soon as possible :). Bailey tells us what happens when you have a baby brother at the end of the video.

Memory Monday-Wedding Day

I have been married to Jason for ten years. Our Wedding day was really nice, despite getting separated for almost an hour because of the many weddings that day (64 to be exact) We had a great lunch at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and a nice recepiton at a church. It was such a great day. Now we have four lovely children and I could not be happier! The past ten years have been great, we have had our up's and downs of course, but I would not change a single moment. Jason is a great husband and father. I hope we will have many more years of love, fun, and happiness!

Memory Monday

I am going to start doing a memory every monday. This week it's the memory of my baby, who is now one year and 2 months old (almost)

I can't believe that time goes so fast, last summer I had a newborn and all my kids got really sick with pneumonia, in the middle of summer. I kept taking them to the doctor and saying please tell me what's wrong with them! They could not figure it out. Finally after a month of being up all night with the baby because he could not stop coughing, I took him back and he (the doctor) told me to take him to the hospital to get some tests done. They did x-rays and some other tests and they came back positive for pneumonia It was crazy! Two days after being on really strong antibiotics, they all stopped coughing! I am so glad that I have wonderful healthy kids. I complain now and then about little things, but I know that I have it all, The Gospel, and my Family and love, that's all I need!

Seriously, this child lives to mow the lawn with his dad.

Every Saturday, he gets his gloves and his mower and he doesn't stop until Daddy stops. It's so cute! Hopefully in 7 or 8 years, he will still love it. Then he can do it for real!

Simple Pleasures

My Mom tagged me to write five simple pleasures. So here they are:

1) Aerobics. I love going to my Aerobics class 3 times a week. It feels so good to do something for myself. I have met a lot of good friends at my class and we always have a good time.
2) Quiet time! I love my Children, but one of my favorite times of the day are nap time and bed time. I can just relax and talk to Jason, and read a book or blog. It makes it so I'm a better mom when I have a clear refreshed mind.
3)This might sound weird but I LOVE the Library. I love taking my kids there and reading to them, watching them discover new and exiting things, it just makes me happy!
4) Music. I have always loved music. I took piano lessons, I'm not a very good player but I still love to play. I loved singing in Concert Choir in High School. I'm always on the look out for new music. Among my Favorites are Classical and Josh Groban and Nickle Creek. I hope I have instilled a love for music in my children.
5) Family and Friends. I love to be around people. My Family is so wonderful. We do a lot of fun things together but mostly we just hang out and chat and eat. I'm so glad I have good friends who I can share life experiences with.

SO that's it! I'm a pretty simple person, it doesn't take a lot to make me happy. I am tagging: Christin, Liz, and Audrey. Can't wait to see it!

Welcome Spring (FINALLY!)

The Girls were so exited that our tulips finally bloomed. We were afriad that with all the snow, they were not going to come up this year. They counted forty six tulips, they keep multiplying every year. Thank you to my good friend Pamela who planted the bulbs when I was expecting Cameron.

Spring is finally here! It has been a really long and cold winter. We are sooooooooo happy that spring has finally come to Utah! I snapped these pictures (before the camera broke) a couple of Sunday's ago. We were just out enjoying the beautiful day.

This is what I get for telling Cameron to go get dressed to go outside, sunday shirt, basketball shorts, cowboy boots, and a camo hat. He's very good at dressing himself, not always how I would like, but good, never the less.

Okay, my baby just had his first birthday on the 30th and Cameron turned 3 on the 2nd. We had a big birthday bash for everyone on Friday ( we have multipul birthdays on the same day, including Jason who is now 32, happy B-day my man!) Anyway, I went to get my camera and was going to go picture crazy, and it would not work! I am so sad, no pics of the birthday bash, no pics of my baby eating his first birthday cake, no pics of Cam and his new tee ball set, sad very sad. Needless to say I will need a new camera quickly so that I can 'stage' all the things that I missed. Until then, no new pictures.

We love to go to the Aquarium. The kids have so much fun looking and learning about the utah waters and also the ocean waters. Most of the time my sister Meredith and her two cuties, Kaleb and Brynlee join us. Here are some pictures of our latest Fishy place Extravaganza.
I love this picture of Connor looking at the Jelly fish from his stroller, this was the first time he acutally looked around at the sights, usually he sleeps through it.

Cameron is kind of a little guy, so he has to ask to be held up a lot, by sister or Auntie Meri, or anyone nearby.

Baby Signs

I have taught all of my babies to use baby signs. This is a video of Connor. I was trying to get him to do all of his signs (eat, more, all done, please)He wasn't being super cooperative, and I have music on in the back ground so it's not the best video.

It really helps with their language skills. Both of my daughters were speaking at age one and could speak in full paragraghs by 18 months.

Cameron is very verbal for his age, I can't credit all of it to signs, he has 2 sisters that talk to him constantly. Signs help with tantrums, baby's can say what they want when they use signs. I usually only teach the signs they will need on a daily basis, like eat, drink, milk, more, all done, please and Thank you, and certain toys they like. We have really enjoyed teaching signs to our babies, it's fun to watch them learn and communicate!

This is my darling child Cameron James, he drives me a little insane some days. This is him right after I caught him getting into my make-up bag. He now climbs on counters and tries to get into things that I thought were hidden away safely. My girls never did stuff like this and I am having a hard time knowing what to do about him. if any one has any advice please share, I'm at a loss, I can't tote him on my hip all day or follow him where ever he goes and I want him to feel like he has some independence but I'm constantly scared of what he will do next.

Bailey gets a bob!

Today Bailey got her hair cut at Cookie Cutters. I went there only because I had a coupon for $2.oo off. I have a hard time with her hair because it's so thick and wavy, the sides are curly and stick out of the hair that is not curly. When she was a baby it was ringlet curly and as it got longer the curl streched out and we eventually had to cut it off. So we cut it in a bob today. I hope it will be easier to manage now. She looks cute doesn't she?

Fun With Friends

On Saturday I went out to lunch with my friends. It was a baby Shower for 3 of them all due in the spring. I love giong out and enjoying the company of other women my age and stage of life. It's fun to share stories and just have a quiet outing. Thank goodness I have such a wonderful Mom who will take my babes for me and let me have a day out.

Connor is Crawling! (finally)

Connor started crawling the other day. It happens so fast, one day they just start doing it. It's sad and happy at the same time. Sad because I don't want him to grow up, and happy because we were worried about him. The other kids crawled at around 8 or nine months and he's almost 12 months. In this video he crawls to the door and shuts it on me, stinker! But we love our stinker!

Bailey and Madison Love Pet Shops
On this day, Baliey was not feeling well so she was just hanging out in her room. I went to check on her and she had created pet shop world. She said, "Mom will you take a picture of my pet shops and put it on our blog?" I think on the last count they had something around 38 pet shops. They love to take them every where. I find them all around the house, and when I do, I say Bailey, here is a lost pet, he needs a home, could you please take care of this poor little pet? She thinks it's pretty funny. I personaly hope the pet shops stick around for a while, they are cute and fun.

Wheeler Farm

Today we went to Wheeler Farm. The girls were in horse heaven! They love horses and it was so fun for them to touch and watch the horses. They were ready to hope on them and take off. We had a good time watching the amimals and feeding the ducks and riding the wagon ride that is pulled by a tractor. (much to Cameron's delight!)
